Hand forged survival knife with mesquite wood scales, head saw tooth for tearing, digging, hammering and breaking. Custom Made Bushcraft Survival Knives.

Custom made bushcraft knife . 5 1/2”” blade, walnut wood handle and a fire steel in a loop, pouch and a field touch up stone.

The knife above has a 7” (178mm) blade, 5/15” (8mm) spine, mesquite wood scales (supplied by the customer) are held with 5 threaded stainless steel pins, peened. An 8mm thick head saw tooth is welded to the end of the tang for hammering, prying, digging, smashing and breaking. The finger guard is a piece of feller buncher chainsaw bar welded to the tang and soldered with copper. A short lanyard is provided with a copper lined lanyard hole. Aki tooled pine needles into the sheath. Double saddle stitched by hand. A leg tie tab is provided.

 
 

Handmade survival knives. Secured in their sheaths with locking lanyards. Fire steel for fire making and a touch up stone in a pouch. The fire steel is supplied with an antler bead cinch, securing the steel in its loop.

On a morning walk, Aki bumped into a pack of wolves. She was surrounded by a dozen wolves 10 feet away.

The three of us have run into wolves. In each case surprised each other. All have been magnificent encounters.
