Custom handmade framing slick. 3/8” thick chipper blade steel leaving the factory chipper blade temper.

Blade length and width can be requested. Starting with a 9 inch blade going into the socket, 3 inch edge, 30 inches overall.

Heavy Duty Carving Slicks
A heavier Fish-tail slick hand forged from 5/16" thick high carbon headsaw steel for wood carving totem poles, canoes and log home and timber work. 107cm (30 inches) overall, with a gently curved 4 inch cutting edge. The blade is similar to a fish-tail adze shape. Thick 3.75cm (1 ½ inch) diameter handles or bigger upon request. A great tool for carving wood, finishing timber and cleaning up logs.

The tang of the blade is set 13cm (5 inches) into a thick hardwood handle then set with a copper ferrule. The handle is offset from the blade giving you better control and more room.

Custom Made Skews
The custom skews have acute angled bevels. They take a breath taking edge and hold it with a 15 degree bevel. Lumber mill high carbon saw blade steel.
The Skews and paring slicks have 56cm (22 inches) long overall, and have a 15 degree cutting edges. Skews are beveled on both sides. We can make the blades and handles longer or shorter custom to what you need. Made to order.
