A story about boars in the BC forest
A few years ago a man squatting in the bush raised pigs. He ran out of money and decided to let them out to range in the bush. They ended up invading some folks’ garden. 6 times, each time more came. The folks hiked to the location in the bush where he had his pen. They left a note. No response. The folks hiked in again. The second time a big note on a tree beside his road. They spent full days warding off the pigs. Desperate, they visited his 85 year-old mother. Invited her and her son to dine…They ignored the folks’ invitation.
The boar was at least 400 pounds. The pigs were digging up their gardens, they dug up a 5 year-old apple tree, the asparagus garden, carrots, like machines they excavated. The promise of a full root cellar in the fall was evaporating. The folks knew they were in the midst of a big problem. The Forest people got involved. Told the folks they could shoot them on site. They asked if the police could help. The police said if they didn’t deal and work it out between themselves they would come in. If they came in they were going to do something…. nobody needs that, the folks thought.
Word got out that there were boars in the bush. In a couple of weeks the pigs and the squatter were gone.

The Price:
The Boar knife with a 6 inch blade and a 4 1/2 inch handle is $2400. Add $275 for every extra inch. We’ll make the Boar knife with a blade length up to a 12 inch long and full tang.
After a 9 inch blade, we make the handle 5 inches long. With a 12 inch blade the handle is made 6 inches long if you want. Contact us for more detail and information.
