Falling

looking through aspen trees, through clouds, at the sunset

The aspen point, for a quiet view of the lake

 
 
old aspen. disintegrating bark, bug holes

The big one fell last year

 

Saddened at first

 
shapes and landscapes in the disinegrating aspen bark

But now we can draw close

 

and marvel

 
fallen bark baring the wood turning grey

disintegration

 

decay

 

death

 

and so much life
