Provided are 3 different options for securing your knife in its handmade sheath. Our chisel tool belt sheaths and the slick and draw knife leather edge sheaths are heavy duty and saddle rivetted.

One lanyard grows from one piece of leather sewn into the back of the sheath underneath the belt loop. It is split into four laces. Aki braids a short lanyard from the laces and braids a loop onto its end. The loop fits over the butt and the short lanyard on the knife, securing the knife in its custom made sheath. A great option in conjunction with a leg tie.

Long locking lanyard
One lanyard, the length of the knife, wraps around the back of the sheath and loops over the knife’s butt. It holds the knife in its custom sheath with absolute security. Aki creates a “notch” under the belt loop, reinforcing the sheath to receive the lanyard as it wraps around. This is also an easy, one-handed operation. Pictures to the left and below.
Securing your expensive survival knife in its custom sheath with leather ties is a solid option. We include ties and our guarantee. The leather ties stick to themselves. When they are tied securely they stay secure. In conjunction with a leg tie you’ll be able to keep your knife close. Aki provides plenty of length so if you wish you can cut them shorter. On the larger scabbards, sheaths and neck knife sheaths, Aki supplies the sheath with extra leather tie positions. For instance on the neck knife below the removable tie is added for your peace of mind.
Another option would be to go completely custom build. We’ll work with you toward the knife and sheath you want.
